I have read the entirety of this thread and that post covers it for me. Yes, the D allowed Bell to go all world. But they only allowed 17 points. Any NFL coach/team would agree they should be able to score more than 17. Especially the "highest scoring team in the NFL" right? Yes the O line was as inept as it has been in a long time. But can anyone name from memory the 5 number one draft picks that protect Tom Terrific, State Farm Rodgers (not really valid after yesterday) or Shorty McBrees? No. Everybody looks great standing in the pocket reading the USA Today, lighting a Camel no filter and then launching. But even those guys HAVE to on occasion take a few confident steps left or right then throw with a minor degree of accuracy. Alice cannot do it. In 5 seasons he hasnt been able to. It wont get better with age. He is a decent man who says and does all the right things. He is also a 11-5/10-6 QB who urinates down his leg when the chips are pushed to the middle. The first five games may have been the exception, not the all too familiar norm. His time is over for me. I'm ready for 8-8 and a wild card win, not another 12-4, bye, embarassing loss at home.
