For years, Chiefs Fan wanted the Chiefs to draft a QB in the first. They didn't really GIF who it was (or how good the player actually was), as long as the Chiefs took a QB in round one. Chiefs Fan propped up Geno Smith, Johnny Football, and even Paxton Lynch, seeking some sort of instant gratification.
Fortunately, the Chiefs weren't that butt ****ing moronic. Reid et al. patiently waited for a QB that they felt could be a superstar. When that time came, they did what needed to be done to move up and take their guy. This is what good talent evaluation and patience will get you. No need to waste first round picks on "talent" like EJ Manuel simply because your butt ****ing moronic fans think you should. Kudos to the fatman and his regime.
