If we beat the Patriots, it will be because the defense throttled Tom Brady. It will have nothing to do with any plays that Smith makes that Mahomes wouldn't have.

And in fact, the odds of Mahomes just locking in and playing one game at a premium level are better than the odds of Smith doing so.

The Chiefs chances of winning a Super Bowl this year change very very little if Smith isn't a part of it. Both are minuscule chances and both depend entirely on the defense wrecking shit.
