About twenty years ago I was a route driver for Guy's Snacks and I filled up at a gas station and then stopped by my house for a quicky lunch. About five minutes after leaving the gas station there was this KAAAAABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMIIIIIIIEEEEEEEE and smoke came from that direction and rolled into town.
Turns out a white pickup backed into a fuel tanker as it was filling the pumps.
There was nothing left of the white pickup or the tanker trailer. I think the guy in the cab of the truck suffered 3rd degree burns and iirc later died at hospital.
Loudest boom I've ever heard.
