Dorsey is probably one of the 5 best scouts in the league. If I was Elway I'd fire Brian Stark and give Dorsey the Director of scouting job.

Elway just gave everyone in his front office contract extensions/promotions. He has his guys, he's not going to bring in Dorsey.
A team won't even bother to offer Dorsey a lesser position because he's just going to leave to be a GM elsewhere in 2018. Dorsey has no reason to take a lesser position either, the Chiefs are paying him not to work already.
