Maclin should have been signed to a similar contract to that of Emmanuel Sanders - 3 years, $18 million. Instead, he overpaid, just as he did for Dwayne Bowe.
Now, whether you can blame those issues on the departed Trip McCracken or the fired head of Pro Personnel, Will Lewis, can be debated ad nauseam without a resolution because no one will ever know the truth.
But Dorsey's track record with high priced free agents hasn't been good. Let's hope that Benny Logan breaks that streak.

In 2015 we got a very good Maclin at a low price. Last year we got a below average Maclin overpaying him.
We got a lot of $$ back from cutting him.
