My critique isn't so much that it's disgusting. It appears that the concontion is more mundane than distasteful. But it seems a waste to relegate something as tasty in its own right as a banana to basically a weird potato substitute.

It's like cooking all the flavor out of sushi grade tuna and making tuna casserole out of it.
