You saw a wide open Maclin turn to the inside while running a route that you will always be taught to turn to your outside on. Seriously - find a single person that will argue that you look over your inside shoulder on a flag route - they do not exist.

And the pass was perfectly placed right Maclin's outside shoulder, right where he'd have walked into the endzone had he simply looked in the direction every WR will be taught to look on that pass route.

Why you continue to refuse to acknowledge a basic football truth here is beyond me. You will never be asked to look against your momentum unless it's a designed timing/stop route. That one clearly wasn't as Maclin never made a motion to break his stride and jump/turn.

It was a flag route and Maclin screwed up. Maclin's played worse than Smith all year, I'm not sure why you'd suddenly take it as an article of faith that a person who's admitted that he's not been in the right place mentally all season did the right thing despite all football logic to the contrary.
