Not sure what you are basing this post on. You quoted a post that was me pointing out the distinction between a fan that supports the team, and a fan that wants injuries and losses for the team.
As to your direct quote, yes.. I have just explained this.. and really can not change what has happened in the past. All I can and will do is try to appreciate the long-time suffering, beaten down mentality of others more in the future.. before I post a response out of frustration.

People evolve into differing perspectives due to their past experiences. Maybe I too would be constantly miserable and defeated, had I suffered as much team suckage over my football decades. Can't say.
Not sure it's a good idea to justify it like this. Wouldn't this be like a wife-beater pointing to his abused childhood in order to justify why he beats his wife?
.. but no, we are not talking something so serious and vicious here, of course. Just a similar defense mechanism in play.. but if it is.. what is.. then so be it.
