Mellinger touched upon what I mentioned the other day in that Alex Smith is so smart that he beat the tests, twice. Each player has a "baseline" and Alex is so competitive that he purposely set his baseline low, allowing him to beat a concussion tests.
It's really the only thing that makes sense.
