Denver Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in Denver's 29-10 win against the Green Bay Packers in Week 8, the NFL informed the Broncos on Wednesday.
The award represents the first conference recognition of his career and the third AFC Defensive Player of the Week honor for the Broncos this season (CB Aqib Talib – Week 1; S T.J. Ward – Week 4). DeMarcus Ware received AFC Defensive Player of the Month honors in September.
