Okay, here is the concept....
Technical Analysis in the markets attempts to weed out the "why's" for the most part and look at behavior of price. In this case, price is net wins. So you approach it from an aspect of not caring who you are facing, who was pitching, etc., just flat out, what was the net result.
Now the significance of our win last night, according to the chart, is that we broke out of a channel to the upside. This tends to clear the way for more upside or signify momentum to the upside. Another thing that would play in the favor of more upside is the double test of +8 before breaking through + 9. Think of it as a spring loading up. The longer you channel the stronger the breakout will be or breakdown if it goes the other way.
Now other interpretations could be this is a peak, of course, this isn't a crystal ball. And what could also happen is say we lose tonight, which would test the new support level of +9 and ideally go on to win the next few games. So generally speaking, unless this is a peak and we are heading for a downtrend, this is showing that our momentum is picking up and we hopefully will be seeing ourselves at +12, +13 in the near future. That would mesh with some of the internals like, Duffy coming back to being more consistent (hopefully), players coming off injury and suspensions, long home stand ahead of us, etc.
As I stated in my original post, this is a "stock market\technical analysis" view. It's just having some fun and looking at the season thus far slightly different than we are used to doing with sports.
