I feel for ya, man. My 18 year old wrecked his first car after having it just about 3 weeks. Then he was working across town and so I would let him borrow my truck at times because it was a PITA to drive out there. He was fine for awhile and then nearly 1 year after his first accident, he put the side of my truck into a highway entrance sign.
Let me tell ya, he was scared shitless. Perhaps that was because I had always told him to drive very carefully and if he ever wrecked my truck I would murder him. /shrug
Needless to say, he paid for the body shop ($500 insurance deductible) and the raise in insurance rate. Hopefully, that will teach him. I would kick him off my insurance and make him get his own, but it would be a lot more costly for him. And the kid is working his butt off. We helped him buy a new used car (of which he's about to pay off today) and he's been okay with that so far. Knock on wood.
