I had to fight off the kid inside me to not buy an 2008-2009 BMW 328I or a Mercedes CL200.

You could pick those cars up for less than 10K all day long and i considered it.

Then I researched the cost to replace the parts that will almost certainly fail at some point.

BMW 3 Series water pump? $700 ****ing dollars.

Thermostat? Almost $300. And that's WITH my shop discount.

Water pump on the Mazda i bought? $250

Thermostat? A little more than a $100.

Pretty much the end of that fantasy....
