You would think. I've been going to the same spot for over a decade as my in laws bought down there in the 90's as part of a RV community. Back then the streets would be lined with gingos during the winter months to the point it was hard to drive around. Then the economy tanked and you can imagine how hard it hit the Mexican tourist industry. It's pretty desolate now, with cinder block skeletons of abandon condo/resort projects on the beach and hollowed out store fronts. It's pretty rough down there for the locals so $1 is probably an accurate market price for a burrito these days.
