He actually did a pretty decent job this series. He pulled all his starters at the right times, and his bullpen choices were largely defensible.
I actually think that this was his finest hour for a few reasons:
1) The way that he tried to settle Rosenthal down last night shows that he knows his player pretty well
2) The way that he settled Yadi down after Gonzalez tried to act like he was born again hard.
I still can't believe Mattingly decided to have Dee Gordon, Jacob Turner, and Carl Crawford bat over Puig in that spot. My head would have exploded.
