Jose Guillen was 32 when Moore inked him to a 3-year deal worth $12M per, so I would see 5 at $11Mish per as a hell of a lot less risky for Kemp. Plus, Kemp's upside is tremendously higher than Guillen's ever could have been.
Kemp's highest season WAR: 8.2
Guillen's greatest season WAR: 4.7
Every contract is risky, no doubt, but I don't see this as substantially worrisome at all.
