And the Heat don't have a Center or Point Guard. They have zero cap flexibility. No bargaining chips to make a trade. And their top 2 pricey talent is on a potentially rapid decline, as both were invisible in the finals last year.

The Cavs' starting roster isn't world beating. But Kyrie/Waiters/Thompson/Varejao isn't as glaringly weak. They have huge trade bargaining chips in Waiters/Thompson/Varejao/Jack/3 first rounders, and they have cap flexibility to actually add talent. And this is assuming that the very young roster doesn't improve. Thompson and Bennett could easily be better this year. Zeller is still young enough to improve into rotational depth. Wiggins' upside is enormous. If Cleveland isn't an option because of risk, then Phoenix is a place with more proven supporting cast talent.

Reliant on a declining Big 3? Or a young nucleus.
