Tell me I'm wrong but the swing early and often in the count seems worse than the old approach of being more patient. If you are going to get pitches to drive (home runs) it's by working the count to a point where the pitcher must throws strikes. This is when you sit dead red and drive the ball. We've never been very good at that but this swing early shit surely isn't helping it seems.
