Let's just look at Alex vs Andrew, 1st 2 years in the NFL ? Did Alex have the success Andrew did his 1st 2 years ? Did carry his team his 1st 2 years ?

Nope, had to have talent around him and the proper system to run.
So, essentially, in your estimation, that EVERY qb is a system qb?

And stop comparing Alex Smiths rookie seasons, to Anyone elses.

Completely different scenarios.

First and foremost, the Colts still had Reggie wayne. Added T.Y. Hilton, drafted two tight ends, and had a OC who helped Peyton Manning his first year, Ben Roethlisberger, his first year.

Completely different time, and era. Oh, also, Andrew Luck played under Jim Harbaugh in college, and was considered to be the best prospect to come out since Peyton Manning. Alex Smith was considered to be the best of a very bad draft class.

He was not wanted. Matt Leinart decided to stay in college, and the 49ers got left with Alex Smith.
