It sucks that basketball is a secondary sport that no one cares about, though. It's never on national TV and nobody ever talks about it. It's not even on par with college baseball or volleyball.

People do care about basketball, I get your sarcasm. I think KU is a great basketball school no doubt. Elite? Not sure. They do have as many championships over the last 25 years as Florida who I also do not consider elite. Are they a better basketball school than Missouri? Sure without a doubt but I would like to see more NCAA trophies in basketball before calling them elite. Sure basketball is in a higher category than baseball and women's volleyball but at the end of the day when realignment happened it was viewed as irrelevant and secondary which is why an average at best basketball school like Missouri moved to the SEC and why an average or worse ND is coveted by almost every conference. At the same time an "elite" basketball school like KU was ignored.
