We don't know what the polls will be yet so it's speculation. I'll go along that Auburn will likely fall below but it won't be by much at all and it's tight just like 2007. The situations can't be more similar.
If Auburn is higher in the BCS rankings and is passed over for an at-large bid, then it would be similar. Since that isn't going to happen, they aren't.
