2) Luther Burden III WR
Chiefs trade 31 to the Giants for 34 and a 4th round pick. Giants slide up just right past the Browns, while bypassing the Eagles, to choose the QB they want. The Chiefs move back a little and really lose out on nothing from their board. I know somebody will cluck about losing the option year but I think people tend to make too big of a deal out of it.

Burden has just started to scratch his potential as a receiver and a coach like Andy Reid and a real QB should unlock it.

2) Xavier Watts S

Bryan Cook was up/down all season coming back from his injury in 2023 and is coming into the last year of his contract. I think Veach will reload the stable at some point and with 4 picks over the next 2 rounds, he can afford to go luxury here.

Watts should get some playing time early on and can hopefully contribute in the turnover margin right away.

3) Omarr Norman-Lott DL

Like the potential here. I'm sold on this project.

3) Charles Grant OT

Good measurables and technique. Will need time to adjust to the NFL after playing at a lower level school but the intangibles are there. (This is where you do your morning after pill shopping, folks. Not round 1.)

4) Jared Ivey DE

I'm also sold on Ivey as a Spags project.

4) Bhayshul Tuten RB

Runs like Billay slid a carrot in his ass and has a way of finding the endzone. Perfect prospect to round off the depth chart.

I do think Kiser and Hook go in the 5th range, though.

You have S as a much higher need than I do, though Watts would be a hell of a get. Our opinions on Cook are substantially different.

I got my preorder in with Best Buy after ****ing around for 30 minutes or so. Daughters birthday is the 26th of June, so she will be on top of the world.

We can agree to disagree with Cook's 2024 performance and that's cool. Not saying he was liquid ass all year but he was just really up/down.

Noticing trends, and with other players coming up needing new deals and how tight they are on space already, I made that pick thinking a few things.

First thing was I don't think he will get a second contract here. Feel the priority will be Trent and George.

Second thing is that I know they like to backfill in advance when possible if they feel they are going to lose somebody.

In the mean time, I thought that Watts can be a positive contributor right away in a smaller role and felt they had a bit of luxury here with not having a lot of pressing needs and plenty of picks over the next two rounds to address them.

I also looked at my simulations of how the rounds were shaking out and felt I would rather go that direction rather than get caught reaching for need.

Heck yeah. My daughters birthday is in July and is over the moon about it.
