How are we feeling about our O-Line?

A big focus this off season was to fix the O-line. How are you feeling going into this season with this line? .

LT - Jaylon Moore
LG - Kingsley Suamataia
C - Creed Humphrey
RG - Trey Smith
RT - Jawaan Taylor

could be better, could be worse. a lot depends on how you think moore will do. chiefs are clearly projecting him to take a step forward. if he does, we’ll be in pretty good shape

Cautiously optimistic.

Looking for the horney option on the poll

Add to that Kingsley being next to him. That whole left side is still concerning.

Oh, and big concern that Heck is still the OL Coach.

The first step is to make it work and we can do that. This is a worst case scenario. I expect we will stay hungry in the draft and free agency. Creed is the only guy we’re committed to long term. Keep in mind that last time we did an overhaul we signed guys like thuney and Blythe only to draft creed/trey then trade for obj much later. Jawaan and to some extent Moore are movable next year. Trey is still on franchise tag and Kingsley is an unknown. So we can pretty much fire away at both guard and OT and see which one sticks the best.

All we need is solid play and I don't see any reason we can't get at least that from them.

I’m glad we didn’t throw a huge contract at Dan Moore.

I understand being concerned with Kingsley, but Veach trading Thuney should make you feel more confident in him. What would it say about him if Veach felt the need to pay big money to all three IOL?

Good points.

The entire left side is a question mark right now.

That's true. BUT, my biggest concern last year going into the season was our Left Tackle position. And I bought into the line of thinking that Kingsley must have shown Veach and the coaching staff "something" for them to start a raw rookie at LT. So, I have a concerned, wait and see approach, based on recent past experience.

Huge question mark but given the constraints I’m not sure we could have done much better without overspending or harming other parts of the team.

Yes, that's the dilemma that we're going to face just about every year in some aspect.

Too early to tell.....

I'd feel alot better about it if Trey Smith signed a long-term deal or got traded, one or the other. That 23.4m hanging over our heads right now is impactful in terms of adding another upper-tier FA. It sure would be nice to get in on a pass rusher.

As for the current talent, I think it's better than where we were sitting last year at this time.
