I don't like it if they draft him and expect him to be the week 1 starter. I like it better if we bring a vet in for this season, but I like it not at all if we skip over Luther Burden.
|
Bro, he has Burden Starks and Nolen on the board and we take Connerly, I'd be pissed.

After Senior Bowl week, every time I see Conerly's name, this comes to mind:

I might take Jack Sawyer over all of those guys if we don't end up needing a LT. |

Guys have bad reps. I guess watching Thuney and Caliendo get carried into Mahomes' lap play after play has given everyone some PTSD. |
I heard Conerly on NFL Network on Sirius Radio the other day. He was specifically asked about the rep shown on here against Green. He said it was his very first rep at RT. Said something like his technique felt off, he got up to high, and Green overpowered him. He wasn't making excuses either. Seemed like a pretty honest dude. They asked him about his 2 sacks he gave up at Oregon, and if he remembered them. He did, and gave a very detailed account on both of them. Right down to the alignment of the defense and the blocking assignments of the O-line on the play. One of the 2 sacks was a naked by the QB and the QB ran into the sack.
I think we would get lucky if this guy falls into our lap at 31. Inspite of Green kicking his butt at his not natural position in the video from the Senior Bowl. |

I would rather move up and take Simmons. Doubt he falls that far though.

I think what bothered me was that it was a bad rep against power, which to me felt like his obvious weakness from the little I've seen. So it was a bit of confirmation bias. But I'll accept I've seen far less of him than you. Plus, tbh, I'd much rather a nimble OT with a year to build his strength, than another project with iffy feet and hands. If he fell to us without having to move up, even if a guy like Harmon is left before a drop off at DT (man, I really want a quality DT), yeah, I'm probably running it in. |
It bothers me when these analysts only do 1 round mocks. Come’on man! Give us more! lol
Also, does it look like Mike Green jumped the snap against Conerly Jr to anyone else? |
