Too early to give a what i want mock :D
You at least have to get some idea of what free agency presents. I like Harmon and Burch. I love the idea of Logan Brown as a RT project. If you get Nohl Williams in the 5th, I'm okay with that. He's older but he's solid. I think he could contribute right away. The rest is a bit meh. I don't like Horton for this offense. He doesn't look like a guy that will get open very easily. He lacks immediate speed/quickness, and he has a slight frame, so even getting downfield for deep shots might be a problem against press. I'll admit that my history of armchair scouting WRs is a bit shaky at best, so there's that. I really don't like Gadsden much. That's me wanting a TE to be able to play inline, and he simply can't. At that stage I might be looking at Lachey or Ferguson if I want a TE. I think Benjamin Yurosek could be a sleeper. He didn't produce much at Georgia but he was outstanding at Standford before he got hurt in his last season there. He's a good blocker and a good receiver. I'm a bit ho-hum on Smith. He doesn't play as fast as people like to make him out to be. He's also tiny being a converted WR. I think he'd be a nice complimentary piece for a team IF he can pass block but I wouldn't spend a 4th on that. Maybe a 6th or a 7th. |
lol yeah, I thought so too but for whatever reason I’m just not as excited about this draft as previous. A bit distracted at work and my father's going through some health issues.
Harmon and Burch are my favorites this year at DL, one of the two would make me happy. I’d also like to keep Wharton, but we can't keep everyone. I like Horton as a Hopkins and Smith-schuster’s eventual replacement, I think he’d be a chain mover for us, but nothing too special just a solid 3rd WR after a season or two. My preference would be to run it back with Brown and Hopkins, but I’m not sure Hopkins would stay on a friendly deal if he has other options. Seems like he still believes in his former star power. I see Gadsden as a big slot, mostly, he’s a versatile weapon that Andy can move around. He’s additional depth for when kelce leaves and an occasional first down catch kind of guy that the defense might not see coming, similar to Gray’s role in previous years. Gray, Wiley, and Gadsden would give us a rotation of capable pass catchers at TE. Noticing he’s not getting any love from the talking heads, not even a mention, so I’m showing him some. Regarding Smith, I probably like your guy Tuten better at this point as a true RB, but went with my guy to show him some love as well. Smith might have the best highlight reel in this draft! I think he could fit McKinnon’s 3rd down role as a pass catcher for us, another gadget option for Andy, those occasional lighting strike plays could be just what we need. I agree he’s currently dropping to the lower rounds, but his testing might push him back up a bit. Hoping Brown could be Veach's next Trey Smith’eque deep round OL pick that surprises the league with this talent. Same with Nohl Williams, we need to produce more interceptions and he’s a legit ball hawk with 7 INTs last season. The goal of this mock is to solidify our tenches for the next several years and offer a bit of a spark at our skill positions. |
Thank you for your feedback btw!

Gadsden looked solid in the Gauntlet drill today
|
Horton ran a speedy 4.41 today, same as Luther Burden, solid.
Brashard Smith might climb a bit, as mentioned above, after running the 3rd fastest RB 40 time at 4.39. Tuten at 4.32, whoa! |

Edited per recent Thuney news and my expectation that OT Simmons is draft early by Chicago.
