Michelle Trachtenberg, 'Gossip Girl' and Disney Star, Has Died at 39

Trachtenberg, best known for her roles in Gossip Girl, Harriet the Spy, and Ice Princess, has died at age 39, The New York Post first reported.

Police told ABC News that Trachtenberg was found dead in her Columbus Circle apartment in New York City by her mother on Wednesday morning, Feb. 26. Sources told The New York Post that her death isn't being investigated as suspicious as of now. Her cause of death is not yet known.

Michelle Trachtenberg was one of the iconic teenage actresses of her generation. A child star, she began starring in commercials at age 3 and nabbed her first roles in Law and Order and the '90s Nickelodeon sitcom The Adventures of Pete & Pete. In 1996, she had her breakout role in Harriet the Spy, playing the titular teenage writer and detective. From 2000-2003, she starred in Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Dawn Summers. She would go on to act in a slew of TV and movie roles, most recently in the cartoon series Human Kind Of.

I didn't recognize the name but when I looked her up I was like damn... she starred in one of my favorite dumb comedy movies... Eurotrip.

She was really cute in Eurotrip if she was 18+, otherwise I don't remember her in that movie.

But I still have to comment that they accidentally got into the Pope's private quarters and accidentally got tangled up in some curtains and accidentally set off white smoke and accidentally stumbled out on the balcony where a lot of people thought he was the new pope. That's just lazy comedy writing.

Considering she just had a liver transplant, it definitely could have been.
