Jurassic World: Rebirth
Looks decent. I’m always a sucker for these bc I love watching the dinosaurs. This one seems to gear more towards JP: Lost World.
The closer they get to the books where shit is really on the line, the better. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/jan5CFWs9ic?si=isOXQykOrrfNWV1v" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Ohh look! The dinosaurs got loose again!

I guess it needed a reboot pretty bad. We'll see how it turns out.

Well I'll never turn down an opportunity to see her, so there's that going for it
|
Meh
Maybe it’s time to combine the Fast and Furious franchise with the Jurassic franchise to spice things up? Too Jurassic Two Furious |
What we need is a crossover between Transformers and Jurassic Park.
|
Meh… SJ is the only thing going for it..

I’m usually very lenient and non critical of these types of movies and especially this series because dinosaurs, but this one just looks awful.

So...while this will be considered sacrilege...if you're looking to continue the franchise, wouldn't a hard re-set be the way to go? I mean we re-make shit all the time now. Rather than a sequel, just remake Jurassic Park. I guess the real problem with that is that the original was just so damn well done that 30 years later it somehow STILL holds up. Which is just remarkable in so many ways. So maybe it's a bad idea in that you probably can't do anything with a re-make other than put new actors in it. But the story from the book is a little different than the movie. You could add some wrinkles to the movie by more closely following the source material. Or...you could just keep making bad movies that make a lot of money, I guess. But these movies are all so similar anyway that it feels like maybe falling back on the strongest story and re-making that would be the best path forward. |
dinosaurs doin stuff, IN
|
there should never, ever be a remake of jurassic park
there is enough things you can do with dinosaurs you DON'T need to do that |
Producer Frank Marshall confirmed that the famous river raft scene involving the Tyrannosaurus Rex will make it to the screen. In Crichton's novel, Tim and Lex try to drift through a lagoon in a rubber raft without waking up the T-Rex. They fail badly, leading to utter chaos.
