Best Fictional Sporting Event to attend
Bob Uecker's passing today reminded me of the electric scene from Major League where he previews the final game against the Yankees (below). Anyways, it got me thinking, what fictional (movie/tv show) sporting event would you have wanted to be at if given the choice?
As a kid, I always wanted to be at the final game in Major League. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/dML5lZkvLms?si=0yA3ZrI1HEUi3jhb" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

I clicked on the link to see how many replies it took for Hammock Parties to say he'd attend the podracing grand prix to see the very talented, young up-and-coming pilot named Anakin Skywalker. Very disappointing I beat him to his own punch.
Personally, give me the dog show from the movie Dog Show. Jason Bateman calling that play-by-play, blue heelers running around eating the competitors from the toy class, bold strategies being deployed which may or may not work out for them Cotton...what could be better? |

You named it. I used to watch Major League all the time on the VHS when I was a teenager. That winning run scene still gives me goosebumps.
