Let's talk about the Miami Dolphins

Here is my $500,000 question on this game.

Will Spags and Co play it straight and keep their powder dry for the playoffs?

Last season the Chiefs defense (and maybe Andy, don't recall) kept things very vanilla when they went to Cincy.

They lost that battle, but won the war, because the defensive wrinkles Spags wanted to use against the Bengals were unveiled in the AFC Championship and held their offense at bay just enough for gimpy Mahomes to drag us over the finish line late.

Will Spags come into this game guns blazing and try to take out the Dolphins early this season? OR will he keep his cards hidden for the real season?

Uh, we play the Donks next.

But I would not expect Reid to show his best stuff, especially in the red zone. We played pretty vanilla against the Bills and Bengals last year during the regular season.

Same with Spags on D.

The scrimmage in Denver will be light.

You can't even do a "Let's talk about" thread right.

Great googly moogly...

Did this last year. Someone wants to talk about the practice in Denver they can do that. We're prepping for the real games.

I liked this idea last year and I like it again.

While I certainly do think Spags has some stuff planned for them I think it will be very similar to how todays game went. I truly think we came into todays game with a vanilla plan and at halftime switched to avoid a shootout. OR… what if the second half was the actual plan. I’ve been wondering for a while if Spags has this thing where he doesn’t show much in the first half so that there’s no time for the other team to adjust.
It would certainly explain why the halftime adjustments seem so effective.

Back on subject. I think Andy and Mahomes learned a lot from the Super Bowl loss to the Bucs. Now yes there was no way the NFL was going to allow us to steamroll them again hence why they were assisted on drives in the beginning, however TB defense shut us down based off what we showed earlier in the year. I think both Andy and Mahomes learned from that and will avoid showing much in meaningless games.

Now the only problem is this becomes kind of a meaningful game for home field advantage, but last year that didn’t seem to matter, so I don’t know but it’s an interesting thought process and I’d love to hear other people’s ideas on it.

Hopefully come in blazing. National and international tv audience and we may need it for the tiebreaker for the number one seed.

They just won yesterday??

Well the Dolphins did drop 70 on the JackAss Donks. We can talk about that all day but the Chiefs (Chiefs Planet favorite team) should put up 72 points on the Donks.

You are leaving out the fact that the Chiefs were completely decimated by injuries on their offensive line vs Tampa in that Super Bowl.

That was the bigger factor in that game than what the Chiefs showed in the regular season game.

Still desperate to break our streak that started last decade. Sean Payton bounty gait just don't trust them with cheap shots.

**** these guys, too.

Sofa King 10-23-2023 06:15 AM

Dolphins absolutely decimate shitty teams and can't beat good teams. Really, I think that's all that needs to be said. Dolphins lack a defense and their offense can't score against good defenses. We have both things required to beat them. And I hope we do. And I hope the Bengals get their ****ing asses kicked the rest of the season and miss the playoffs. Cause **** em.

My biggest issue with this game is trying to figure out how to watch it at 7:30am.

Roger Goodell can suck my cock with this bullshit.
