Chiefs D Only D To Hold Opponents to 20 Or Fewer Points
 

Chiefs D is the only D to hold their opponents to 21 points of fewer through 7 weeks. Are we a top 5 D? So far but we have some big tests ahead of us in Miami, Philly, Buffalo and Cinci.

Nonetheless, it's a much different and better D than we have seen the last few years. Our secondary has been absolutely amazing and today against the Chargers we showed we could lock down a top QB and offense. No Mike Willams makes a difference but it is what it is.

After that 2nd quarter I was sure we were headed for a shootout, glad I was wrong. They clearly made some adjustments and shut the Chargers down in the 2nd half.

Yeah, it looked like the Chargers were going to work us over. They had a few huge plays but it was nice to see us lock that shit down in the 2nd half.

They stopped the Chargers from tying it up on like 3-4 straight drives when past units would have almost certainly let Herbert get a TD eventually. They totally owned him in the second half.

It’s a very different group than previous years. The have confidence and swagger and sped. They are just so fun to watch.

We aren't seeing the YAC like we have in seasons past. Even if guys catch a pass they aren't going far afterwards.

Yeah, that game still sits bad as even after all the BS in that game, 1 catch wins us the game and Toney ****ed that up. That being said yeah, the D locked them down but I think as you saw today, the Detroit offense isn't worth a shit.

Romo had the same wrong stat during the game, saying the Chiefs D hadn’t given up 21 points since week one - the Chiefs defense only gave up 14 in week one - Detroit had a pick six.

The Jets game they only gave up 18 as the offense surrendered a safety.

The Vikes game was a legitimate 20 points, and while only a 1 point difference in the stat being discussed, charging 9 turnover and safety points to this defense doesn’t seem fair to them.

Today looked like Marty Ball with a QB that can play the position.
