I genuinely don't understand being a pessimist in the Mahomes era
Look, tonight's game was a bad stinky loss, and this team has some work to do. No denying that. But I don't understand the pessimism that some fans insist on expressing every time this team has an off night. I don't want Patrick Mahomes to have to put the team on his back, but he also did exactly that on one good leg to win it all last year... Shouldn't that make it a bit easier to relax and stay optimistic? Regular season losses just don't have the power to bum me out anymore, and I gotta say, it makes nights like tonight a lot easier. I highly recommend it!
Also, has anyone here tried the bread sticks from Papa John's? Great texture especially when they're slightly under baked. If you like your bread sticks to have any seasoning whatsoever, though, you probably won't like them. |
no one is being a pessimist we are being a pissedoffimist

The losses are so rare overreactions flow freely.
When you win 80 percent of your games failure seems like devastation. |

I'm trying the new grilled cheese dipping taco at Taco Bell tomorrow. Gonna get a couple of those and a Baja Blast.
I think pizza will be on the menu for Sunday. Carryout with breadsticks from Papa J's. Oh yeah, as SR says WBF! |
I'm not pessimistic. That loss just sucked and it had to be the worst receiver performance I've ever seen. The Chiefs will still win more games than they lose. Just roll with MVS, Rice and Watson for the majority of the snaps I guess.
That many drops has to be a freak thing, like it's not going to happen again at that rate and when Kelce's back then that will obviously be a major factor. That was really terrible though, holy ****. The rest of the team looked pretty good tbh, maybe not so much the running game. But the o-line was great, the defense was kinda good and bad, receivers seemed to be wide open in the middle all night but they only allowed 14 points and made some crucial 3rd down stops. Not having 2 out of your 3 superstars is always going to hurt but we could have overcame it if we didn't just see the worst receiving performance of all time. |

Carcosa, while I entirely agree with what you’re saying, I do have one question for you.. Why would one try Papa John’s breadsticks when Pizza Hut’s are still in existence? I’m fairly certain a diet containing only those sticks would result in a population of men rivaling that of our own, beloved, chiefsplanetdotcom- 6’4, 250 (solid muscle, naturally) with an 11x11 trouser snake

The team wasn’t crisp, it’s rare from a Reid/Mahomes team. They’ll figure it out. Next week they may rape face.

There's nothing crazy about asking if we can win the SB with this WR group.
The team bet heavily on several guys with major questions surrounding them, at the expense of all the possible free agent and trade acquisitions. This is a passing league, and if we don't have pass catchers beyond our still legitimately great 34-year old TE, we could be in a difficult position. |

They all made fun of us, in fact, after our joyous reactions to the 41-14 and 42-27 wins, I want our fanbase to get to that point. |
I'm still happy as a clam, in my opinion.

I will say that I have a bad feeling about Skyy, specifically. But overall this team has a habit of putting it all together by the end of the season and I don't expect it to be any different this time around. I guess I'm mostly just advocating for a more meditative approach to the regular season lol. Take it or leave it And take OUT those PJ b-sticks!! |
