We need to talk about 2nd and 1 and 3rd and 1.
I'm not lying when I say that I'm more confident that we'll convert 3rd and 17 than 3rd and 1.
Why? What's the blind spot here? If nothing else, should they just pretend that every 3rd and 1 is actually 3rd and 17? In the thread below, indulge me and tell me what our go-to play on 3rd and 1 should be. I'll start. Mahomes option right with a running back wide of him. We'll convert that play 97 percent of the time. |
How about a qb sneak, by our actual qb?

Why not run the ball up the middle with Pacheco? Why why why Andy??

3rd and short for the offense seems like 3rd and long for the defense. Both make me want to gouge my eyes out.

Play calling was ridiculously bad tonight.
But not surprised, it has been bad for a while now. |
Just line up and run Pacheco up the middle. It's got to convert more often than all of the gadget crap.
|
I'd like to think our interior 3 and Pacheco could get a yard.

Did I miss where doctors told Reid that Pat’s kneecap is susceptible to going sideways?
|
It’s the new clock management where someone needs to step in and take it away from Andy
No way 2 different OCs are calling the most telegraphed play in the NFL |
The QB sneak with Mahomes needs to come back.
The refusal to call it once four seasons after a freak injury is beyond ridiculous. |
Don’t change anything when we get to third or second and short.
Just run your offense as you normally would and put the ball in the hands of the best player on the planet to make a play. Then, WRs just need to catch the ****ing ball. Fixed. |

Or just have Taylor false start and set up 3rd and 6.
Also fixed. |
I kinda miss having a big fullback for those 3rd and 1 runs. Andy is appolgizing for how bad this looked. "It's unusual for the guys who dropped the ball to drop the ball"
