Optimism Toney could play week 1
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Can <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/chiefs?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#chiefs</a> WR Kadarius Toney, who has missed all of training camp with a partially torn meniscus, actually play Week 1 vs the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/lions?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#lions</a>? There’s some optimism. As long as he's playing week 2 of the playoffs (we obviously got the bye, duh) there shouldn't be a problem.
|
Don't rush him
|
Eh....this ain't the NBA guys. The regular season matters alot.
If he's ready to play, throw him out there. |
You just can't rely on this guy for anything

He's probably eventually getting hurt again. Play him when he's healthy and go from there. |

Really hate that it’s looking like we might limp into week 1 without Toney, Sneed and Chris Jones. Those guys are all huge pieces at premium positions.

None of them will change the line, don't worry about it. |
It’s just a meniscus, bro had plenty of recovery time.
|
Can he play in both week 1 and week 2?
|
Toney is a cherry on top. Not a focal piece.
If he's there playing on any given day, then terrific. If he's not, then oh well. We've planned our team to move on in any absences he might have. |
I didn't care for the "he's our #1 guy and a #1 WR" talk this offseason.
Not because of ability but shit, you gotta be there. Luckily, we look to have a really nice WR core. |
