oh yes sweetie! It's a nice and light crispness. Kicks up the texture big time. Texture is a big player in a simple hot ham and cheese.

pairs better with lettuce and protects bun from getting soggy

anyone else? Perkins had some nice melts back in the day. Their sourdough was good shit - basically all the Perkins baked goods were good. Surprisingly super good snickerdoodles.

I feel like that'd pair nicely with a light and chilled peach Perrier.

Grilled cheese sliders.

Use the pack of Hawaiian rolls. Cut them in half down the middle (don’t separate into individual rolls). Mayo spread on the inner side of the top and bottom. Seared in the skillet.

Cook your beef and put on one half of the seared rolls (you put the inside that you seared on the outside, so the meat sits on what was the outside). Add cheese. Then put the other half of the roll (inside out like before). Press the entire thing down a bit to flatten.

Bake in the oven to make it crispy then add whatever other condiments you want.

Thank me later.

Eh, tried it. Butter over mayo for me. You can't tell much of a difference of mayo on it's own, but put it up against butter on a side by side comparison and mayo is the subpar option imo. Side by side you can tell a slight eggyness with the mayo.

I don't like buttering the bread. I prefer to put the butter right on the cook top then bread on top of that. Adds a better texture and crunch to the bread without the butter ****ing with the bread and making it soggy with butter too much.

Mayo on anything warm is gross. It's good on a cold cut sandwich though.

This actually isn’t a bad idea.

I’m going to try it on a grilled cheese when I get back from Alaska

Gross. Yellow Mustard is good on things for smoking a long time though.

to be clear I don't mean put mayo on toast, I mean put mayo on bread and then toast on hot surface, skillet, flat-top
