Tron: Ares
I'm a Tron nerd from way back, and I put untold numbers of quarters into the arcade game. I enjoyed Tron: Legacy, but it was ALMOST great, yet not quite. This is the first solid report I've heard that a third movie is coming out, and it has a couple of Hollywood heavy hitters in it - Jared Leto and Evan Peters.

I didn't care for either movie but I really liked both arcade games. Did you ever play Disc's of tron?

Leto. Instant fail.

Tron as a movie has never lived up to Tron as a concept.

I remember the arcade I played at had one of the sit down booths you could play in, but it wasn't around terribly long. |

Loved the first movie - it came out when I was in high school. Loved the game as well. God only knows how many quarters I pumped into that damned thing.
The second movie was enjoyable, but had one major problem - it was still called Tron, but Tron wasn't in it. Apparently Clu's main henchman was Tron after he was corrupted, but it was barely touched on and he was killed off at the end with little fanfare. If you're not going to have Tron in Tron, call it something else. |
Problem is that if it doesn't get stellar RT scores and positive word of mouth it'll just be another movie on streaming that audiences will refuse to go see. The fact that Jared Leto is attached to the project will make it more difficult to get those scores, and even then it might not be enough to get your money back on this project.

Look really cool.
Don't know how they are going play off the whole computers stuff in real life, though. (Unless real life is a simulation, too. That'd be a twist). |

That looks amazing. Has that Jurrasic Park dinosaurs loosed upon civilization thing going on, except I think I'd much rather deal with a T-Rex than a recognizer. Please don't **** it up please don't **** it up please don't **** it up :grovel: |
When we find out the Flynn had a User, and that User is "The Man Upstairs" from Lego Movie minds will be blown.
