What a weird day of football

-Chiefs flirt with losing to the Broncos
-Dallas almost losses at home to a 1 win Texan team
-Titans get blown out at home against a bad Jags team that they were 7-1 against in the Vrabel era
-Brady gets absolutely boat raced by a team starting its 3rd string QB
-Seahawks lose to a terrible Panthers team at home

Crazy

Santa been getting these letters......ya see

jerryaldini 12-11-2022 07:14 PM

What happened to the Titans defense? That's a shocker. Like where the Jags are going though

siberian khatru 12-11-2022 07:14 PM

It WAS crazy.

But I don’t think the Jags are that bad. They’re an ascending team and they’re gonna compete for a playoff spot next year.

Thank goodness Chiefs get out of Denver with a win.
Serious tilt-o-whirl day in the NFL

DET blew the doors of MIN
Lowly JAX beat TEN
CAR whacked SEA

And of course, LAR beating LVR was maybe the most improbable outcome of the weekend.

Said it in the other thread, but every year it seems like there's one weekend straight out of the Bizarro alternate Universe. I'm hoping this was it. We almost got bit by this one but we managed to avoid getting smacked by the Bizarro bug.

Let's just hope we're done with that for this year. Sometimes this shit comes back around one more time before the season is over, and I don't want any part of that.

bills offense looked like shit too

this time of year, just win baby

When good Trevor Lawrence shows up Jacksonville isn't bad.

I think he's going to be okay. Doug will turn him into a pretty good QB, I think. He's got all the physical tools. Needs more weapons. Few other pieces on the team. They'll be in the hunt for their division next year.

Any given Sunday…..

Megatron96 12-11-2022 11:56 PM

Based on ESPN-SVP highlights, Trevor is going to be just fine. Looked like Josh Allen running and scrambling, and has maybe 80% of Josh's arm. Think Pederson is running the exact same offense he ran with Foles. Will be interesting to see if Warner or Sullivan or Brett do a breakdown of him this week. Might win their division next year.

Brock Purdy looked good. tough, willing to stand and deliver right in the teeth of the blitz. He might make it.

Glad the Chiefs survived this weekend. An ugly win is still a lot better than a loss! Hopefully they can put together a stronger performance next weekend.

Technically the game was never in doubt. It wasn't even close. Worst win probability percentage the entire game for the Chiefs was 74%.

But I'll take the Chiefs not allowing TDs on every scoring drive. 2 TDs and 2FGs, fine. Take that all day.

It did not feel that way. With less than 4 minutes left, the Chiefs led by 6 points and the KC offense had 3rd and 11 at their own 25 yard line. If they punt in that situation, the Broncos were setup for a good chance to win the game if they put together a TD drive over the final 3 minutes.

KC converted the 3rd and 11 with a big play from MVS & Mahomes. Rest of the game featured important rushing yardage from the OL, Pacheco, & McKinnon to seal the deal and keep Denver's offense on the sideline.
