Kadarius Toney's role this season & stat predictions?

We have a bye week so that's good but everyone knows Reids playbook isn't the easiest for new WRs. What does everyone think his role will be immediately? What about at the end of the year? How many snaps will he have vs the Titans?

Some think he's just an option for 2023 and beyond but if the Chiefs gave up a late 3rd and 6th for him perhaps they are envisioning more.

Depends on him. If he comes in and applies himself he could easily be one of the top contributors by the time we're hitting the last week's of the season before the playoffs. If it's more of the same he's done in New York probably just punt returns and gimmick duty with an occasional catch or two downfield.

I think he will play WR for the Kansas City Chiefs and win the Super Bowl.

I conservatively think he’ll have 1,700 yards and 19 TDs this year.

Dumb question, but can he return punts? I've never watched him.

More production than Josh Gordon 2021. Less than Tyreek Hill 2021.

The Skyy's the limit!

This isn’t an easy offense for someone to just drop in at the bye week and acclimate to. I would guess that other than possible cracks at return duties or situational use, he won’t contribute much this year.

This name next to Ronald Jones on the Inactive List till about December. Then hits the big time next year.

This is actually the right answer. I think he'll put up more numbers than Skyy.

Kick/punt returner, hopefully so he can have an immediate impact, and slot receiver. No idea what his production will look like.

Maybe 30 catches, 300+ yds, 3 TDs(?), 20 carries (jet sweeps?), 100-150yds, a couple more TDs? If he can digest a decent percentage of the playbook, and can get on the same page with Andy and Patrick quickly.

WR1

1800yds All Purpose

23 TDs

I could see him getting on the field for the next game, due to the bye week. But I wouldn't go expecting big production right away. If he can finish the season with 400 yards that would be a good thing.

EPodolak 10-27-2022 06:36 PM

It's a golden ticket getting to play in KC. Doesn't sound like he necessarily deserves it so I hope he at least produces right away.
