We contemplated Belize for NYE. But we ended up getting a good deal on Playa Del Carmen Mexico. Looking forward to taking the trip to the Mayan ruins in Tulum. Flying out on the 27th and back on the 4th. Anniversary (Dec 30), and NYE is gonna be off the chain!

Placencia has great permit fishing. Tarpon is pretty good, too. You saltwater fly fish? You staying at Turtle Bay? Get the lobster omelet while you're down there. And Belizian rum is pretty awesome.

We were supposed to go to Belize in February but wife can't get a new passport because I owe back taxes. So I'm kicking it out a year and will hopefully have things worked out with the IRS by then.
