Butt-kicker 3.9 (1) Where are we getting all this $? 6 of top 73? (2) Does Clark have a money printer? (3) Holy hell do we have several former trash players on this list getting big bucks to suck https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/2021/cap-hit/ |
This thread is much less interesting with the stupid nicknames and lack of any real content.

Um, for one: Clark has committed an obscene amount to a few stars next year, which is an awesome kudos to him as an owner who wants to win.
And two, we will have to fill in multiple spots with 1st/2nd year (or even waiver wire) low-wage guys. Meaning Veach is really going to earn that paycheck next season. |
Frank the Stank I thought it was funny and appropriate.
For the money he makes he had been a virtual no show all season. He can redeem himself by showing up in the playoffs hopefully. |
Next year a third of those dudes will be significantly declining, assuming they’re even healthy.
We really need to win this year because it gets much harder going forward until we go through a mini rebuild. |
Over $40M cap hit for Big Ben & Matt Ryan. Yikes.

24.4 million for Alex Smith or Mahomes for 400k more-LOL
|
Good chance that's the last year we pay Clark. Hopefully he balls out again in the postseason, but you can't pay $26 million in 2022 and $28 million in 2023 for a pass rusher who really isn't a playmaker. Will need that money elsewhere most likely. And yes, it's very possible we have a mini-rebuild somewhere between 2022-2024. Obviously we still have Mahomes, but even the greats like Brady, Brees, Rodgers, etc. had years that were less competitive than others.

Kelce ranked 115th
Bargain of the NFL. |

That’s $161 million for 10 players leading $34 million for the rest. It’s possible that Schwartz retires because of his back injury and they can maybe extend Fisher to get that number down, but this doesn’t look good for the Chiefs and Veach has his work cut out for him.
