Is Charvarius Ward a #1 corner?
[PFF KC Chiefs] Charvarious Ward ranks #1 in Passer Rating allowed and Reception %. He ranks #3 in Yards Allowed and tied for 3rd in Yards/Coverage Snap
There were 10 cornerbacks to reach 1,000 total snaps in the 2019 regular season. Charvarius Ward was one. • Passer Rating: 67.3 (1st) • Yards Allowed: 634 (3rd) • Reception %: 47.6% (1st) • Yards/Coverage snap: 1.00 (T-3rd) i think he is on his way but needs one more lock down season. |
Can I see the input data?

Not only is he young and improving, keep in mind he played last season with awful eyesight.
|
No, he’s probably a CB2 at best, but the Chiefs seem content with having multiple CB2’s.

He is really ****ing good, but needs another season of that for the claim

I think Spags is getting the most out of him. But he is a solid player, not a #1.

Let's put it in some perspective....considering we got him for Parker Ehinger and he was undrafted, has been an impact player since the Seattle game, had the game winning pick to send us to the SB until Dee Ford ****ed it up and helped this defense go from a totally shitty secondary to a totally legit secondary what do you think?
I'll say we've spent more on lesser people and Ward has earned his starting spot. So he is a #1? Yes. Is he a prototypical #1? No. |
Ward reminds me of a lot of the corners Belichick had during the Pats SB runs.
Solid, consistent, steady players...but not Deion. |
He's no Paul, but I like him. I just wish he would stop masturbating so much.

He fits the system well.
