So lets talk some legit options for our pick.

So with Breeland coming back that pretty much leaves us open to take the best player on the board.

I'd like in this thread to post some videos and such since in a lot of threads there are questions about how good a guy is and what he can do so twitter and youtube of course are great for vids.

Even though I've pined for Willie Gay quite a bit there are numerous other guys I'd be fine with using our pick on because well they'd be fine fits.

So I'll start with some Willie Gay video since I've been asked a few times what he's good at...

Watch him close...

Thanks for starting this thread it is needed. 100% trust Veach. My amateur opinion and the pick that would currently make me jump off the couch would be JK Dobbins. Fills both an immediate and future need and provides us with a respectable running game.

I’d love Gay, Swift, or just about whatever talent falls to us.

Some Patrick Queen

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Make all my wishes come true, oh<br>All I want for Draftmas is Patrick Queen<br><br>Queen LB #8<br><br>+ Range<br>+ Vision<br>+ Route I.D.<br>+ Run key &amp; fits<br>+ Quick trigger to close<br>+ Body control approaching blocks<br>+ Improved block deconstruction as the year went on <a href="https://t.co/XyoCtjIVza">pic.twitter.com/XyoCtjIVza</a></p>&mdash; Matt Lane (@ChiefinCarolina) <a href="https://twitter.com/ChiefinCarolina/status/1246101915802447872?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 3, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">PLEASE?<br><br>For a &quot;raw coverage LB&quot; he certainly seems to make some of the quicker, correct reads in this LB class. I could throw Kenneth Murray into this debate but the odds of him being there in my view are very low.

I’d be fine with Gay, Murray or Queen at 32.

Weird talk time......there is some stuff out there that all 3 or 2 of the 3 really prime time safeties are still going to be there, would you take 1?

Mathieu can float all over the place. Absolutely safety is in play.

I’m not against it. Sorensen is at the end of his deal, Badger moves around a lot and Thornhill is coming back from an injury. I’d assume that Spags would know how to use that third safety the best.

Well Delpit, McKinney and Winfield may all be there and they all have some serious athletic traits and versatility....the Chiefs met with Winfield so....

I don’t think Murray or Queen will be there unfortunately. I like Gay, but would want to do a trade down first like we did with Chris Jones.

Honestly I could really see Veach pulling the trigger on another weapon. If Aiyuk is still there, I can’t see Veach passing on him. Also think Raegor is another guy to keep an eye on. Both of these guys are way better than his combine showed.

There is a pretty serious rumor floating on social media that the Bengals will take Gay at 33 if he's there.

BWillie 04-09-2020 01:02 PM

Patrick Queen > others. But he won't be available. He would be a perfect pick for us though.

Oooor we could figure out how to get Simmons. But I'm just biased because he's from beautiful sunny Olathe.

Dunerdr 04-09-2020 01:04 PM

Honestly at this point the only pick i wouldnt be happy about is a qb at 32. This team has as many wants as any other but probably less NEEDS than anyone. It's a beautiful position to be in at draftmas.
