Maybe make this the tag mega thread? Panthers just tagged Short and the Chargers are surprisingly expected to tag Melvin Ingram...

That averages out to about 1 tag per finger

Giants commitment to just Vernon and JPP right now is $33 million for next year. Obviously if they enter into a long term agreement with JPP that will come down quite a bit.

But damn.

It is insane how the Pats got rid of two very good defensive players this year and still had an excellent defense.

So with this, I know it takes the 5 highest average salaries of the RB position and that's the tag salary (correct me if I'm worng on this please), but with both JC and AP getting dropped today, does this impact Bell's salary? Like is it going off of 2016 RB salaries or 2017 salaries?

Pats aren't expected to tag Hightower.

Wowser, that's like 24 million dollars.

He'll get traded to the 49ers.

It's either an average of the 5 highest or 120% of his 2016 salary, whichever is higher.
