Daniel Fells‘ MRSA infection is “far more serious than has originally been reported,” and the condition has been life-threatening at times, with doctors advising Fells that they might remove his foot in order to prevent the infection from spreading throughout his body, a source told Jason Cole of Bleacher Report (Oct. 12).

According to Cole’s source, Fells is doing well at this point in time. However, since Fells has already had parts of the foot removed, his NFL career is over.

MRSA is from bad facility conditions right? Isn't that what Tynes and some others got in Tampa?

53 jocks in a close humid environment is a breeding ground for bacteria. Could happen in any locker room

Can be. But sometimes it just happens. I got it last winter in an ingrown hair. It went from a little red spot to ****ing nuclear in like 36 hours.

Fortunately it didn't get in my blood stream.

My daughter had it too but it wasn't as aggressive.

Staph is everywhere.

But yeah. They probably have a settlement coming

MRSA is some badass shit

nothing to mess with, some kind of uber infection that's very resistant to antibiotics

I killed mine with antibiotics. Just not menoccous (sp?) based antibiotics.

Buehler445 10-12-2015 08:19 PM

But you're right. Staph infections in general can be stupid aggressive.

Dude's gonna lose his foot because the Giants didn't bleach their lockerrooms and showers.

I hope he sues them for a billion and owns the Giants when it's all said and done.

I heard they were considering amputation. Thank God mine didn't get that bad.

I need to remember to wash my hands when I'm leaving the gym

Not sure that will help. Bleach kills it but taking a bleach bath is not fun. I bought some shit called hibiclens. It is terrible. But better than bleach.

JPP and a brick of Black Cats will fix him up in no time.

Methicillin.

It's funky shit. When I was in college I worked in a micro lab for a dairy company testing samples etc.

I made all the growth media and had to do controls to make sure it was correctly formulated. Had to wear a hazmat suite in the growth room because they just had samples of some funky shit. I remember mrsa being one, don't remember the others
