-- I'm not melting down.

I'd just like to thank all of you for a fun season.

It's been a pleasure sharing this yrs' improvement of a season with you. I'd like us to take two minutes to offer warm wishes to those who actually lost a family member, lost a job or lost an animal. Any planeteer who is suffering any sort of pain, struggling with health, alcoholism, or any other speed bump or restraint, please just take this time to remember the people in need of a warm thought.

Hug your kids, offer assistance, lend an ear, lend a hand.

This team will be back bitch - this was a huge lesson this time and Andy will handle his business.

Just wanted to express these items - I've wanted to feedback on all of the negativity and or moodiness.

My OP point is - Just remember what is really important in life. ;)

I love you all and Happy New Year.

keep keepin' it real...

See you in August.

no I'll be here - I'm not checking out.

Yeah, here on Monday I'm starting to come back to reality. I've been a ****ing wreck the last couple of days, and should give a huge shoutout to my wonderful, beautiful, understanding, wife who not only bled with me on Saturday, but has absolutely stood by my side and was more understanding than most women would be after something like that went down. I took it as hard as I've taken any loss with the ONLY exception possibly being 1998 against Denver. Even then, I'm not sure I took that one harder. I'm just too old to cry over this team anymore.

tl;dr - I love my wife, and I'm lucky to have her.

I guess I am taking the loss well after all.

It didn't start that way.

At the end of the game I told my wife I might be done with the NFL all-together. It took a few hours of playing with the kids to realize that I can't control what a bunch of dumb-**** athletes and coaches do.

I watched and enjoyed the playoff games yesterday.

I am still baffled from time to time about how they managed to lose, but it fades quickly.

Getting older and more mature helps a lot.

I realized this shortly after the game when I was destroyed and my wife and kids looked at me with corcern. It sucks, it hurts, but it's just a game. If your biggest problem is your football team letting you down again life is not so bad.

Had this team gone back and forth with the Colts all day with all of those players going down we'd be extremly proud. Just hard to stomach it the way it happened. However, if you think about it the Donks did the exact same thing against Pats this year. I think it maybe a lot more common in the arena football NFL.

you know what? - i think the difference is - THIS particular crew will learn from this game, tremendously.

I don't see this as the same old crap as before.

Mr_Tomahawk 01-06-2014 12:06 PM

Group Hug!

I'm fine with the loss now.

I thought the 2-14 season killed all of my hope, but I let myself believe briefly and this is what I deserve for being a Chiefs fan.

I have Kansas basketball to get me through these most troubling of times.

You guys take this way too seriously. I made up my mind years ago that the Chiefs failures are their problem - not mine. If you were stranded on the side of the road with a flat tire do you think they would stop the team buss to help you?

Simply Red 01-06-2014 12:08 PM

well they showed fight - it's like they had to go through that, to learn the other part of execution - I think next year we very well may be stellar. Like sickening good.

I am good at letting this shit go pretty quickly. I initially have my temper tantrums, which feel REALLY good to release at the time, and then, nothing. By Sunday morning, I was done being upset. I'm just more embarrassed for this Franchise than anything else. It just goes to show, it doesn't pay to get emotionally invested in shit that you have NO control over - especially sports.

Did you lose a bet? If not I may drive down there and kick you in the nuts for that avatar.

Simply Red 01-06-2014 12:11 PM

these young men seem to really respond to Andy. Charles and Davis and most other players. We just didn't understand how to finish it - again - huge lesson.
