What's the lowest attractiveness rating that would NOT be an insult to you?
 

Using the standard Bo Derek scale of 1 to 10, what's the lowest rating you could get that would not hurt your feelings or be insulting?

I'm asking because there are some ratings going on in the "Would You" thread of a certain attractive young woman. The ratings range between 7.8 and 10, and I was wondering how she would react if she saw the thread. Those ratings would certainly confirm to her that she's well above average, but she probably knows that. So would a 7.8 make her run to her bedroom in tears, curling up in the corner and sobbing with her finely sculpted abs heaving with each breath? Or would she be like, "Wow, the lowest score I got was 7.8? That's still very good."

So for you personally, consider this scenario:

You're alone for the evening, and you go out to a restaurant. As you're dining on your fish and chips and side salad, you suddenly discover that the combination of pomegranate dressing and malt vinegar has given you the hearing ability of a Great Snowy Owl.

Back in the corner, there's a bachelorette party going on (or a bachelor party, depending on your preferences), and the women (or men) are excitedly whispering their Derek ratings for everyone in the restaurant, you included. When they whisper their scores, what's the lowest score that would leave you saying, "Eh, I'm better looking than that, but I guess it's not unfair."

And while we're here, I'll ask you as well the lowest score you could get that would make you smile.

I'd be upset with anything less than a 8... but I was raised by women and am a supreme metrosexual... so shit like this is important to me.

Happy to alive after the stupidity of my 20's and 30's. My wife is a ten on my scale, all that matters.

I now have a super power. That just upped my scale from a 2 to a 4. Imagine all the good I could do. Like here what chicks would want to **** at 2 am when the bars close, or here what the postal lady says about delivering those brown covered mags.

I went with a 3 on the first question, and a 6 on the second question.

On the first question, I can rationally see someone calling me a 3. I wouldn't like it, but I wouldn't be insulted. I aspire to 5, but a 3 is not unreasonable. However, a 2 would kill me. I think I'm definitely higher than a 2.

On the second question, a 6 would thrill me. I think a 4 or 5 is within the realm of fair, and a 6 is way different than a 5. A 6 is "Hey, that person is above average". Wow. Give me a 6 and I'm your friend forever.

I'd consider myself average......so anything less than that I'm a little offended.

If they say I'm an 8 or above.....they're obviously drunk.

I know I'm unattractive in pretty much all phases, but being a 0 would be pretty much insulting.. As in you pretty much have to be disfigured by a "hold my beer and watch this" type of stupid accident.

I guess a 6, but it depends how I'm dressed. If I have on my best suit, nice haircut and all I get is a 6 I'd be sad.
If you can talk to them and make them laugh you're going to buy yourself a point upwards, though. You have to consider that.

I figure I am an average dude, which would be a 5, but really - on a day to day basis there is some variability - so 4 to 6.
You know, some days I am just feeling it with a twinkle in my eye and an air of confidence that exudes at least a 7.
On the other hand, there a days that feel like complete crap - so that could be a 3.
If I don't get enough sleep and my blood sugar is low - things can get a little ugly - and if I don't have my coffee - it could be 2 to 1 ugly.
And I can't come up with a good enough story for 8+
