Help with historical marches?

My wife wants to use some imagery of marching in her penultimate sermon at her church here in town. So she asked me yesterday for some examples of some historic "marches." especially those which started small, but grew in size. It's a difficult thing to search on google (in a comprehensive list, anyway), and many of those I can think of don't fit too well.

Ghandi's march to the ocean to make salt
Sherman's march to the sea
Bataan death march
trail of tears

...

As you can see, aside from one of them, not really fitting the bill. Are there any CP can think of that I'm overlooking? Any search tips?

Thanks

Was that a march? I'm not familiar with the history (odd living in Independence).

How about the march to Selma? I think there were several civil rights marches. The million man march? There's a couple that could be workable

March to Selma would be great. I couldn't think of that. The million man march was pretty much worthless, though.

There were some similar types of things after World War I when ex-military people went to Washington to try to get their bonuses or pensions or something early.

I think in the Depression there was at least one big march to Washington related to the Dust Bowl or some such thing.

In the 1970s there was some sort of tractor convergence on DC for some farm issue that may qualify.

I think various unions march in Paris for all sorts of reasons like only getting seven weeks of vacation instead of eight.

It seems like you could get some pictures from various despot falls like Iraq, though those may technically be mobs instead of marches. The Iran election protests and Tiananmen Square might work.

While not a march, a potentially good alternative would be the destruction of the Berlin Wall. I bet that's well documented, and from what I recall, it started small and then kept growing and eventually you had hordes of people knocking it down.

When she asked me yesterday, all my mind could think of was this and that scene from "Hot Rod" where they start walking to the race.
