Better draft!

ChiefsCountry 05-03-2010 08:06 PM

We could only wish that was true.

hells yes!

Still not a big fan of Sanchez. Replace Sanchez with Tyson Jackson, and it's an even shittier draft than the one we had.

I wish the pick had been Raji, not Sanchez.

Why the shake? What has Sanchez done to definitively prove that he's a QBOTF?

He was a so-so QB and he stepped up when asked to last year. But franchise QB? I haven't seen any proof of that. When you're a team with a shutdown defense and one of the best RBs in the game, all you have to do is not shit your pants.

Congrats to Sanchez for not shitting his pants. And right now, yeah, he looks like a better option than Cassel. But that doesn't mean that he's a franchise QB.

Are you ****ing kidding me?

The kid took his team on the road twice in the playoffs and won.

His team was leading 17-6, on the road, in Indy before Brian Schottenheimer went into a shell.

Sanchez could someday be the Super Bowl MVP and people on Chiefsplanet will STILL say he sucks.

Let's play your dumb**** game and ignore all the success Sanchez had for a ****ING 22-YEAR OLD ROOKIE LEADING A ****ING TEAM TO THE ****ING AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. Let's call his gameplay shitty, horrible, and not worth even Matt Cassel's pick in the 2nd round.

He's still a QB that won (yes, HE won) enough games to get into the playoffs and kick ass from that point. Keep in mind, he did it ON THE ROAD against teams that had the potential to beat the Colts.

Tyson Jackson tackled a few people for a 4-12 team.

Go kill your family, then die in a fire.

I never said he sucks. I'm saying he hasn't done anything to prove that he's a franchise QB. Like I said, he played well when asked to at the right moments. The Jets had the #1 total defense by about 500 yards, had the #1 scoring defense with a disgusting 14.8 Points Allowed per Game, and were the #1 rushing offense in the NFL by a mile.

He still holds onto the ball too long, is careless protecting the ball, and struggled mightily when they were forced to open up the pass offense. Doesn't mean he can't get better. But as of now, hasn't proven he's a franchise QB except for a team with an outstanding supporting cast.

I guess if he had taken them to Super Bowl and lost, you'd be proclaiming you weren't impressed either.

I've come to realize sometimes, people who appear normal otherwise, are completely ****ing stupid when it comes to the quarterback position in the NFL.

Yeah, because I called his gameplay shitty. Where did you read into that?

And yeah, because I said we should have drafted Tyson Jackson, even though I said I would have drafted Raji.

And yeah, because i said we made a great move to trade for Cassel, when I already said that Sanchez is better than Cassel at this stage.

Read ****ing English before you try to make a moronic rant.

Like I said, I was impressed with the way Sanchez handled himself when asked to do so. But you can't ignore that the Jets were #1 in every area except the passing game.

But we at CP have argued up and down that we don't want game managers. And right now, Sanchez was just that. He did it brilliantly in the final stretch. You can't deny that was exactly what he was asked to do. Brady and Big Ben started that way too, and have since carried their teams in the passing game as they got older. It remains to be seen if Sanchez can do the same, but I see a lot more flaws in his game than those two.

Look, right now, I'd much rather have Sanchez than Cassel. And frankly, I'd much rather Clausen than Sanchez and would even use a #5 pick on him even knowing how far Clausen would slide and even knowing that Berry was on the board.
