PFT: Darling down with an "acl"
Lost in the concern over Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel and cornerback Brandon Flowers is that receiver Devard Darling -- currently listed as a starter on the team's depth chart -- might be gone for the year.
Per a league source, Daling "likely" suffered a torn ACL on Saturday night against the Seahawks. Darling left the game in the first half, due to the injury. He appeared in 16 games last year, starting nine of them. Mark Bradley, Amani Toomer, or Dwayne Bowe would replace Darling as the starter across from Terrance Copper. Again, the diagnosis is not final. But at this point all indications point to reconstructive surgery and a season of rehabilitation. |
We're going to have to find those 5 catches somewhere...
Ouch. Good luck, Devard.
He blew anyway.
sucks for him, Haley obviously liked him. But I think we can find another guy that can come in and give us 20 catches over the course of the season.
