What to do near Bennett Springs?

I am planning on taking the family to Bennett Springs for a couple of days to camp and catch some trout. The wife wants to know what else is near there to do after they get bored of fishing.

Any suggestions?

Not much, really. You can float the Niangua for one thing.

Oh, and Springfield is about an hour away, if you want to make the drive.

Um ... walk in the woods, sit in the woods, lay in the woods, crap in the woods ...

There's not much else other than fishin'. Kinda what it's there for.

Springfield, however, isn't all that far away if she's fine with a few hour drive back and forth to find civilization.

Lake of the Ozarks has all the shopping and stuff, its a little closer about 30 minutes than Springfield.

Anymore I can make it from Branson to Springfield sans traffic in about 35 min. All four lane.
